The last couple of weeks the boys got pretty much work done on the trailer!

Patrik, PG, Max and John have spent some hours taking away all moistured wood and insulation in the walls and trying to dry it up with a torpedo heater.

New wood pieces are made and are ready to get in place with some fiber glass.

Patrik did cut out the front part of the upper floor so we can lower it and make more room so we can stand up straight in the bathroom when it’s done.

Patrik also did some research about the brakes on the trailer to find out what might be worn out and then took them apart to check the condition.

Or at least that’s what he told me… I don’t call this to check the brakes… This is more like sleep..!? 😀

Finally some stuff starts to happen for real with the trailer, but it’s been a really long way to get here… First the company that helped us to lower the roof and blast / paint the trailer underneath messed up so we got about 3-3.5 months after in our scheduled (and I’m still not satisfied with what they done) and to get that time back in missed working hours will be hard… I mean of course I can spend even more time on it but my guys in the team that got family’s and work and actually are having a life outside this racing thing can’t spend as much time as me on it and I am REALLY REALLY happy to have guys like Max, Jocke and Patrik “the Mas” around me that want to spend there free time in a cold dark shop doing what they can to help me out get this thing ready so we can use it to our first outing at Malmö Raceway in the end of April, it looks like it will be hard to make that dream come true but we’re working all we can to make it happen!

Also I been working with a guy that was supposed to help us out with a complete deal for the hydraulic system to the tail gate lift, first time I called him I told him how I want to use the lift and that I need to have the parts for it like yesterday and after about 8-10 weeks when I done that guys job and helped the company they get the hydraulic cylinders from to design it just like I wanted it I finally ordered the parts in the end of last week…

Looks a bit scared!? 😉

Out with some old stuff…

Naked and a lot of work to get this done, but this will make a lot of more room for us in the trailer.

Nice, dark, cold… So much fun!! 😀

Drawing day with Patrik Widd. 🙂

Patrik is really happy after cutting up a door specially for Andreas Arthursson 😀

I’m really happy to have these guys with me as a part of my team, love you guys! 🙂

Max enjoys using the large tools!! Just like always… 😉

I don’t know the secret but it looks like they enjoy this and also have a lot of fun doing it… 😀 To be honest I don’t like to have water in the side walls on the trailer 😉

Not funny… But it’s better to get it fixed now instead of waiting with it!

One more drawing day at Patrik Widds place, and finally it’s time to start order material and start fabricate our lift gate!! Almost to good to be true…. A huge thanks one more time to Patrik for helping me out during the weekends! 😀

And this is what 9 hours of work looks like… Well at least when I start with something myself I get it done, finally a couple of months to late it’s time to start draw and fabricate the parts to our trailer lift gate!! This will be so fucking good when it’s done, I will spend hole next Saturday in front of Solidworks again and maybe after that we can start fabricate all the parts we need! 🙂
A huge thanks to Patrik Widd for helping me out with this!! 😀

Yesterday Max and Jocke spent some hours working on the trailer, did remove all 6 wheels and brake drums and to our big surprise everything did look really good, almost like new! Finally something that goes our way with the trailer project… 😀

Nice! Really nice!! 🙂

So now when we know that the brakes looks good and won’t cost a lot of money to fix we started to rearrange some other stuff inside the trailer! 😉 Making more room between the wheel boxes, move around the air stuff to the brakes and air suspension to make room for some cabins. This will be awesome when it’s done!!

Yesterday evening me and Max spent some time with the trailer. We also picked up the first parts to the lift gate finally! 🙂

We did lift it up a bit so we can remove the wheels and check the brakes so we won’t get any problem with that when its time for inspection.

Also me and Max went by Martin Lundqvist at Autocut to pick up the big ass squared steel tubings that he helped us to cut in his water jet, thanks for a quick work! This is also the first parts to our lift gate!! Thanks to our awesome sponsor Bengtssons Smide for getting us the material!

Finally, the trailer is back in the shop again so we can start work on it now! I am satisfied to 95% with the job they done on it and that’s pretty good because I was 95% disappointed the last time I got it back…

Anyway, now we need to find time to spend on it… To be honest I really don’t think this trailer will be ready so we can take it to the first outing for us this season…

Looks really good after all the body work they made on it, new paint on the whole trailer will wait until season 2017 like it looks right now, we are way behind in the schedule anyway right now!…

Our trailer.

Thursday last week Patrik went by the company that works on our trailer to see how it goes with it.. Must say that I am pretty surprised that it looks like it will be ready this week just like they promised and everything they have done looks really good and just like I ordered it the first time…

Only problem right now is that the trailer is about 12 weeks after in the schedule were I want to be right now due to deleyed delivery and that they didn’t do the work correct the first time… It is all empty on the inside, we got no lift gate so we can get the car in it, we must go trough brakes / axles, lights and much much more, and we got about 13 weeks right now to the first outing this year in the end of April at Malmö Raceway, and right now all the parts to the Chevelle starts to arrive. It will be 13 really hard weeks we got in front of us that’s for sure.

Getting some paint after the body repairs they made on it.

The whole trailer is sandblasted underneath and everything looks good, feels really good to know we got a trailer in excellent condition! 🙂 Only thing missing right now is some paint!

Some body repairs, and closed of the doors on both sides above the wheels.

Body work..

Tuesday last week Jonnie Lindberg did help me to get the trailer back home about 7-8 weeks later than what I was told it would take to fix the things I wanted to be done on it.. Anyway I got some pretty big problem because I’m not satisfied at all with the work that is done on it and this puts us in a really bad position right now when it comes to have the things I wanted done on it before next season, I am right now waiting for the guy I been dealing with to get back to me and hope that he will fix the stuff that I am not happy with. But still even if he does I have a really big problem to solve because you can’t buy time…. 8 weeks is a long time and that means we are 8 weeks behind in the schedule on the trailer…

I was hoping it would feel good to bring it back home, but I was only upset and angry instead…

Jonnie is not only an awesome Top Alcohol Funny Car driver, he for sure knows how to drive a truck and trailer!

At least we have the trailer in a shop so we don’t have to work on it outside during the winter, a huge thanks to Göran at Takmakarna for letting me rent a spot in his shop! 🙂

During the weekend last week me and Patrik “The Mas” started to make a plan for it should look like on the inside, but we can’t start work on it for real due to the stuff I’m not satisfied with that needs to be solved first…
