This past weekend working on the Chevelle was a go

This past weekend working on the Chevelle was a good one! 💪🏻😎👌🏻🤩 I really made some GREAT PROGRESS on it!! 🥳

I got some carbon fiber panels installed in the roof area and in the driver side door X! 👨🏻‍🏭 Been on my way doing this since 2018… That’s how long I’ve got the carbon fiber sheet laying around… 😅 Well, like I have said before! This is the year I will have everything fixed on the car that should have been done for many many years now! 💪🏻🙃

The rear wheels are checked and after Nicke got the tires installed on the wheels Johnny helped me check the balances on them, thank you very much for that! 😍🙏🏻

Dad have washed the rear part of the body and also the wheel tubs, I like it when it’s really nice and clean! 💎🥰 A drag race car is a Hot Rod, and should not look like a dirt track car! 🙊

PG from Bil & Glasdesign went by for a special delivery with the new windshield and side windows they he made for me, huge thanks for that! 😃

I did fix up the pour in seat that got some damages over the years, then I did install our new seat belts from Stroud Safety! 👌🏻😊

I did fire up the weather station with the new computer, of course with some issues!.. 🤣 But that’s how it always is… 😅

Got the “NEW GUY” in the shop! (More about that later! 😜) We did bleed the brakes, installed the wheel tubs and wheels on the car! 🤠

After that the chassis got a cover, I want to keep it nice and clean now after spending all the time making it look great! 🤩

Now it’s time for some Easter holidays away from the shop, but the work will continue next week! 🔧🔩😎

Ok, it’s time for a Chevelle weekend again! 🤩🥳

Haven’t got a lot done lately… 🧐 But hey, every step forward is moving forward! Right? 🤓

I looked after and found my 15-16 year old window templates and it’s time for PG at Bil & Glasdesign to make some new ones to the car, must say that 15 years is a pretty ok lifetime for windows on a race car! 😅

My OCD forced me to change out the 3 different Co2 pressure gauges to jiust 1 model!… 🙃 Remember, I’m doing all I can to Make The Chevelle Great Again!! 😎👌🏻

Nicke have been by the shop and finished up our 2 pair of slicks! 🙏🏻

I have added even more Racepak stuff, can’t get enough data to sort out and work with! 🥳

I have already finished up the 4-link and all 4-link settings, early in April already! 😱 That is something I usually do at the track before the first round of the year! 😅 But like I said before, I’m gonna be as prepared I can for season 2025! 💪🏻🤘🏻

I’ve had some time watching dragracing in the shop when working thanks to @ncpromoder and the great replay on his YouTube page, thanks for that! 🙌🏻👏🏻

I have also changed out the brake pads in the front so I got new ones in all 4 corners! 😅 It feels like it’s time for pretty much everything on the car right now! 😃

When it comes to the new crankshaft, still just waiting on it! 🥲😅

Well, now it’s time for 2 whole days in the shop working on the Chevelle! 😊 Let’s make some GREAT PROGRESS!! 🤠

I’m happy to announce that MP Elektriska have decided to support and be a part of the Sjödin Motorsport / ÅBM Racing family during the 2025 season! 🙏🏻❤️

Joakim at MP Elektriska did reach out in August last year before the Tierp race when we had the problems with the blower! He told me that he is impressed over my dedication to the racing and wants to help out just because of that! 🤩 That made me even more motivated to get the Chevelle ready! 💪🏻 And then we did! 🫡

Joakim is also a customer at the Åkes Bil & Motor workshop, and it makes me really happy that he believes in me and because of that will support my racing circus! 🤩

Thank you my friend, season 2025 will be awesome! 🚙💨🤘🏻 I just need some missing parts and it can start for real! 😁
